Senator Jide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District, has earned recognition from student associations for providing free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board registration opportunities to young people across the district.
The National Association of Akoko North East Students issued an appreciation letter through its National Executives, describing the free JAMB registration slots as a timely initiative that had relieved many families of the financial challenges associated with examination registration. The group stated that the gesture had opened academic opportunities for numerous beneficiaries and strengthened confidence in leadership that prioritises education and youth empowerment.
The National Association of Akoko South East Students also praised the senator's intervention, noting its significance in promoting educational access within the senatorial district.
In its commendation, NASSES emphasised that the gesture had eased the financial burden on many parents and students, creating equal opportunities for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions. The association added that the support would positively impact the academic futures of beneficiaries and inspire renewed hope among youths in the senatorial district, noting that the intervention reflects the lawmaker's commitment to human capital development in Ondo North.
Both student bodies expressed gratitude for what they described as a meaningful investment in the future of young scholars in the district.
The organisations offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and continued success in Senator Ipinsagba's service to humanity.
The leadership of NASSES and the NAANES National Body signed the appreciation messages, acknowledging the importance of such initiatives in addressing financial barriers to education.
The senator's gesture occurs during the ongoing 2026 UTME registration period, which closes on February 26, 2026. Many Nigerian families continue to struggle with meeting examination costs, making sponsored registrations particularly beneficial for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Similar interventions by legislators and philanthropists across different states have provided relief to thousands of candidates this examination season, demonstrating growing recognition of education as a pathway to youth empowerment and national development.
The free registration programme in Ondo North adds to a growing list of educational support initiatives by public officials aimed at reducing barriers to tertiary education access for indigent students.
