Over Twenty of South East's brightest students have been rewarded with ₦1,000,000 each by De Imperial Philanthropic Family (DIPF), in recognition of their outstanding scores in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The awards were presented at a dedicated scholarship ceremony held on Thursday, 12 February 2026, in Awka, Anambra State. To be considered for the scholarship, students were required to have scored 250 and above in the 2025 UTME. Successful candidates then competed in a separate scholarship examination conducted by Best Brain Contest, the official DIPF Scholarship Consultant owned by Dr. Frank Igbojindu. Five winners were then drawn from each of the five South East states.
Speaking at the event, DIPF National President High Chief Dr. Sir Darlington Nwabunike congratulated the recipients and called on them to remain committed to the pursuit of excellence. He restated DIPF's position that education remains a critical driver of youth empowerment and national development.
DIPF Education Committee Chairman Chief Chikezie Okonkwo lauded the students for their academic distinction and praised Best Brain Contest for the professionalism and transparency it brought to the scholarship selection process.
