The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that result printing for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend, following the release of results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination mop up exercise.
Fabian Benjamin, the board's Public Communication Advisor, disclosed in a statement on Tuesday that candidate ranking would commence immediately after the conclusion of the mop up results release process.
"Following the successful conclusion of the mop up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates. Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend," he stated.
The mop up exercise, conducted on Saturday, June 13, 2026, provided a final sitting opportunity for candidates who had been biometrically verified for the main examination but were unable to participate due to technical glitches, biometric issues, or disruptions recorded at various examination centres during the main UTME.
The main 2026 UTME had been conducted between April 16 and April 25, 2026, before the mop up was organised to accommodate affected candidates.
Benjamin noted that candidates who took part in the mop up exercise could access their results through the board's established result checking channels, urging them to do so through official platforms. You can follow our quick guide on how to access your mop up results here
The board also acknowledged the conduct of all parties involved, with Benjamin conveying appreciation for the patience and cooperation shown by candidates and stakeholders throughout both the main examination and the mop up exercise.
The release of the mop up results brings JAMB closer to concluding the examination phase of the 2026 admissions cycle, with ranking and result printing now the immediate priorities ahead of the broader admissions process.
