How to Check the JAMB Matriculation List

Checking your name on the JAMB Matriculation List is simple and can be done directly on the JAMB efacility portal. You only need your JAMB registration number and internet access to confirm your admission status. Follow these steps below:

If you see your name, congratulations, it means your admission has been officially approved by JAMB. 

However, if your name is not found on the list, you must immediately proceed with JAMB regularisation to validate your admission. This happens when some admission processes were not properly completed on the JAMB CAPS portal.

Requirements to be on the JAMB Matriculation List

To qualify for the JAMB Matriculation List, you must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • You must have been offered admission into your institution of choice through the JAMB CAPS portal. This is due to the fact that any admission given outside the JAMB CAPS is termed fake.
  • You must print your JAMB Admission Letter from the JAMB CAPS Portal.
  • You must also print your original JAMB result from the JAMB CAPS Portal.

Why is My Name Missing from the JAMB Matriculation List 

If you don't find your name on the list, this means your admission hasn't been officially recognised by JAMB. A well known reason for this can be that you failed to print your JAMB admission letter after accepting your offer on CAPS. Without this, JAMB cannot confirm that your admission was approved through their system.

It's important to check if your name appears on the JAMB Matriculation List, as students listed there are officially recognised as bona fide students of accredited institutions in Nigeria.

If your name is not on the list, it could prevent you from being eligible for the NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) program, which is a requirement for all Nigerian graduates.
