Is the JAMB Direct Entry Form 2026 Out?

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of the sale of application documents for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session. Direct Entry ePIN vending and registration will begin on Monday, 2nd March, 2026, and end by Saturday, 25th April, 2026.

Eligibility for JAMB Direct Entry Form

You must at least possess any of the following:

  • You must be an Advanced Level Certificate Holder.
  • Possession of a National Diploma (ND) Holders.
  • An NCE Holder.
  • You must be an HND Holder.
  • First Degree Holder or have any other equivalent qualification.

You must also have the following before applying:

  • JAMB Registration ePIN.
  • O’Level Result.
  • Birth Certificate/Age Declaration.
  • Local Government Identification Certificate.

Note: All qualifications must be obtained from recognised institutions approved by JAMB and the Federal Ministry of Education. Failure to meet these requirements will result in automatic disqualification from the 2026/2027 Direct Entry process.

How to Apply for JAMB Direct Entry 

Here are the steps to apply below:

Create a JAMB Profile: Visit the official JAMB portal (https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng) to create and log in to your account. Register with a valid email address and phone number.

Purchase the DE Form: Visit a JAMB accredited centre or bank to purchase the direct entry PIN or buy it through the portal. The total cost to register for the 2026 JAMB Direct Entry (DE) is ₦5,700. This fee includes the application, reading text, and all service charges.

Fill Out the DE Form Online: Log in to your JAMB profile, select the Direct Entry Registration option, and fill out the required details. You will be required to upload your passport photograph, O’level results, and post secondary certificates as part of the process.

Biometric Enrolment: Visit any JAMB accredited CBT centre to have your biometrics captured.

Submit Your Application: After completing the online registration, review your details carefully and submit the form. Print the direct entry acknowledgment slip as proof of your application.

How Do I Convert UTME to Direct Entry?

  1. Visit the website of the JAMB portal via efacility.jamb.gov.ng
  2. Select “Login” or “Create eFacility Account.”
  3. Type in your password and email address to log in.
  4. Select “Payment” or “Make Payment” first.
  5. Choose “UTME to DE Conversion” as the method of payment.
  6. Use Remita or other authorised methods to send N3,500.
  7. Select “DE Registration” first.
  8. Enter the necessary information.
  9. Add supporting documentation, such as university degrees and Advanced level certificates.
  10. Validate the registration information and submit it before checking the conversion status.
