The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has removed several Computer Based Test facilities from its approved list for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, urging candidates to confirm their chosen centres are properly accredited.

An official compilation of authorised centres is accessible via the JAMB portal. Any facility absent from this compilation lacks the necessary approval to register students or host the 2026 UTME.

The examination body has intensified scrutiny of CBT facilities over the past two years, taking action against those unable to meet required technical, operational, and ethical standards. Sanctions range from temporary suspension, which permits centres to address deficiencies and seek reinstatement, to outright delisting. Delisted facilities must undergo a fresh application process and satisfy all board criteria before being considered for upcoming examination sessions. Some centres sanctioned in 2024 and 2025 have failed to secure accreditation for the current cycle.

The 2025 exercise saw JAMB remove multiple centres from its approved roster following documented cases of inadequate infrastructure, technical shortcomings, and failure to adhere to examination guidelines. Facilities remaining unaccredited for 2026 are Adventure Associate in Kano State, Saadatu Rimi College of Education CBT Centre in Kano State, and Soronara Ventures Nigeria Limited in Imo State.

The previous year witnessed sanctions against roughly 25 facilities for violations detected during trial examinations and the registration phase. Those yet to appear on the 2026 approved roster include: Ola Unity Children's School CBT Centre in Lagos State, Command Day Secondary School CBT Centre in Lagos State, Beijing International School CBT in Kaduna State, Ateko Digital Technology CBT, and Lincoln College of Science, Management and Technology CBT Centre in Abuja.
