Functions of JAMB Approved CBT Centres

JAMB approved CBT centres are set up to help candidates with everything related to the UTME process in a safe and organized way. Here are their functions:

1. UTME Registration:

These centres help candidates register for the JAMB exam by capturing their details and biometric data and uploading their credentials.

2. Data Correction:

If you made a mistake during your registration, such as spelling your name wrong or picking the wrong course, approved centres can help you correct it.

3. Change of Institution/Course:

After the exam, you can visit these centres to apply to change your institution or course if needed.

4. Mock Examination:

They also conduct JAMB mock exams for candidates who want to practice before the main UTME.

5. Printing of Exam Slips:

You can visit these centres to print your exam slip, which shows your exam date, time, and venue.

6. UTME Examination:

These are the official centres where JAMB conducts the CBT examination.

Preparation Guide for Candidates

There are various guides you need to adhere to to prepare adequately for your exams. They include:

1. Prepare in advance for your examination. First of all, you have to obtain your NIN from NIMC offices or online.

2. Keep your scanned passport photos available (not more than 200KB) and O’level results.

3. Practice with JAMB's free CBT app to get familiar with the examination interface.

4. On registration day, dress comfortably and carry originals of all documents. Biometrics (fingerprints and photo capture) are mandatory.

5. Make use of past questions and review the syllabus. You can register for the mock exam to prepare for your big day.
