The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has launched the printing of original 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result slips today, Sunday May 18, 2026, with the board urging candidates to use only accredited Computer Based Test centres for all related processes.

JAMB's Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, had announced the May 18 commencement date in a statement on the board's official X handle on Friday, also confirming that the change of institution window was already active for candidates wishing to revise their admission choices.

The original result slip is a compulsory document for candidates proceeding to post UTME screenings, institutional clearance and admission processing at tertiary institutions across the country. It contains each candidate's passport photograph, examination scores and official security features.

"Furthermore, the printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will commence on Monday, 18th May, 2026," Benjamin stated in the Friday announcement.

JAMB has cautioned candidates against approaching unapproved outlets or unofficial sources for either the result slip printing or the change of institution exercise, warning that doing so exposes them to errors and fraudulent activities.

"Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme of choice may now proceed to do so by visiting any of the Board's approved CBT centres," Benjamin noted.

The change of institution portal, which became active earlier in the week, allows candidates to adjust their preferred institution or programme following the release of the 2026 UTME results. The board routinely provides this window to help candidates align their choices with their scores and institutional cut off marks before the admission cycle progresses. JAMB urged candidates yet to act on either process to do so promptly through approved channels before the windows close ahead of the 2026 academic session.
