Hundreds of candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination can now access their results, after the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board lifted the hold on 279 previously withheld scores on Thursday.
Board spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, confirming the release on X, said the decision followed a painstaking review of results flagged for suspected malpractice during the examination conducted between 16 and 25 April.
Not all reviewed cases ended in clearance. Benjamin noted that results from candidates where malpractice was established had been cancelled outright. "While some results have been outrightly cancelled where evidence of malpractice was established, others have been released where the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates," he stated.
Results tied to centres where the board's live monitoring team recorded suspicious activity remain under review. "Where sufficient evidence of culpability is established, such results will be cancelled," he added.
Candidates yet to see their results were directed to send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number submitted during registration to check their status.
