Other Requirements You Need to Meet
Your JAMB score alone will not get you into Architecture. You also need the right O Level credits, UTME subjects, and, most importantly, you must pass the aptitude test or interview.
O Level Requirements
You need at least five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two other subjects from Geography, Chemistry, Fine Art, or Technical Drawing. These credits must come from no more than two exam sittings.
UTME Subject Combination
For JAMB, you must register with English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any of Geography, Chemistry, Fine Art, or Economics.
Picking the wrong combination will disqualify you, no matter how high your score.
NOTE:
Architecture is different from almost every other course. Most universities require an aptitude test or interview where candidates must sketch, draw, or demonstrate spatial awareness. Passing the aptitude test is as important as scoring well on JAMB.
What If Your Score Falls Short
Candidates with scores below 150 should target private universities or less competitive state schools. Scores between 160 and 190 work for less competitive federal universities. Scores above 200 make candidates competitive for UNILAG, UI, and OAU.
